Plantable papers

Plantable papers are made from regular colored paper with a special blend or mix of wildflower seeds. The papers are dried in sheets and then recycled. Businesses reuse this paper to cut a variety of shapes, make invitations, or use it just like any regular paper.

It has many uses in fact, more people are looking for this type of paper to use in crafts and personal projects. They love how you can plant it in the ground (where it originally came from) and up will grow a variety of florals. It is truly a unique way to being eco conscious.

The paper itself if purchased ready made is not cheap. It runs about $1.25 - $2.25 per sheet of 8.5 x 11 letter size paper. Because of the amount of work that is put into the production and creation of the plantable papers, the costs reflects that. There is more manual labor involved in creating this. There may be machines that automate this process but there is still a lot involved in making one sheet of plantable paper.

The colors are typically a solid color ranging from pastels to bold colors such as violet, red or blue. You will sure to find the right shade for your project with the range of colors available. The paper itself can be very delicate. It is much thicker than regular paper and will have little bumps on it since the seeds are embedded into the paper.

They are fun to use and there are many projects you can do with plantable papers.
